• Payment information (via Monnify or other secure providers)

b. Permissions & Device Access

• Camera Access: Used for uploading photos (e.g., profile images, restaurant images).
• Push Notifications: Used to send order updates, promotions, and important alerts.
• Location Access: For riders, we collect precise location data — including while the app is running in the background — while a rider is actively on-shift and delivering an order. This enables real-time delivery tracking for customers and accurate order assignment by our dispatch system. Location is not collected from riders when they are off-shift, and is not collected from customers or restaurant partners for this purpose.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Processing and delivering your food orders
• Verifying payments via third-party gateways (e.g., Monnify)
• Sending transactional or promotional messages
• Improving app functionality and user experience
• Fraud detection and security monitoring
• Allowing you to upload photos via camera (with your permission)
• Sending push notifications about orders and app activity
• Tracking rider location during active deliveries to enable live order tracking and fair, accurate dispatch assignment

3. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data:

• With delivery partners to fulfill orders
• With payment processors for secure transactions
• As required by law or to protect legal rights

4. Data Retention

We retain your personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy or as required by law.

5. Data Deletion

You may request deletion of your account at any time. When you delete your account:

• Your account and associated personal data will be permanently removed.
• Related objects such as restaurants, orders, and other linked data you own will also be deleted.

• Update or delete your personal data through the app or by contacting us
• Opt out of marketing communications
• Request a copy of the data we store about you

We implement industry-standard measures to protect your information. However, no method of internet transmission is 100% secure. You use the app at your own risk.

8. Children's Privacy

Föödys is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If we become aware that a child has provided personal data, we will delete it promptly.

9. Third-Party Services

Our app may link to third-party services (e.g., payment processors). We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please review their policies before use.

10. App Permissions

When using the app, we may request access to:

• Camera: For uploading images (profile, food items, restaurant photos).
• Notifications: To send order updates, promotions, and support messages.
• Location: For delivery riders, used to enable live order tracking and accurate delivery assignment while actively on-shift, including when the app is running in the background. You can manage this in your device settings.
